Vaccination is required to attend classes.

All Massachusetts Community College students, faculty, and staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and submit verification of their fully vaccinated status by January 2022 to the College absent an approved reasonable accommodation.

Proof of Vaccination and Identification Cards

NSCC Employees
The Massachusetts Community College vaccination mandate policy for employees and for students states that all employees and any students coming on campus must provide verification of full vaccination or be granted a reasonable accommodation.

If you have provided your verification of full vaccination you will receive in the mail a new vertical NSCC Employee Identification card and lanyard which will allow you entrance to campus buildings. Your ID must be carried at all times. If for some reason you do not have your ID with you, or have not yet received, please bring your vaccination card, or other verification of status.

If you have not received your Employee Badge, please contact Katelyn Considine in Human Resources at kconsidi@northshore.edu

NSCC Greeters

Starting January 2022, Entrance Greeters will be stationed at main doorways which must be used by employees and students on their arrival to campus.  Greeters will issue masks as necessary, and provide friendly way-finding information for those coming on campus. Greeters will ask those without a badge to step aside. Greeters will then ask for other verification/proof of vaccination status.

In select cases, greeters will allow those without verification on campus after they sign in, using a form to track access.  In all other cases, greeters will inform visitors that virtual services are available and indicate access to campus cannot be granted at this time.

External Guests and Less Frequent Visitors

Vaccination Mandate Policy for Vendors, Prospective Students, Walk-in Visitors

Proof of vaccination status is also required for external guests who are employees of vendors, partners and/or other visitors who are on campus regularly and mixing with College students and employees.  External guests will be issued a temporary ID which will be returned upon their exit of campus buildings.

Less frequent visitors are defined as clients of vendors or business partners, prospective students, or visitors who come to campus once or twice a semester, and those accessing vaccination clinics. They may access campus without vaccination proof only after signing in and answering affirmatively to three COVID-19 symptom screening questions.

This screening will include information about the Vaccination mandate, access to campus and opportunities to access virtual services, when appropriate.  These individuals will be assigned temporary, one visit IDs that will be collected by the office or partner that they visit and returned by that office or partner to Student Engagement on a daily basis.

Other infrequent visitors without vaccine verification will be denied entrance.

Vaccination clinic clients
Vaccination clinic clients will be directed to the vendor staff running the clinic and instructed to leave the campus once their vaccination is complete.
